I have done a lot of strolls in the woods lately....and some driving on dirt roads.

Just Getting A Breath Of Fresh Air
A lone mason jar...
A branch wrapped around a tree....
Probably the biggest tree I have seen so far,

A Stroll In The Woods...
Now that firearm deer season is over, I can get back to doing what I love- taking a stroll in the woods.
I will never forget the tree that I spotted as I was walking back home. I will post it first. At first glance, it looked like any other tree. Then as I looked closer, all I could say was "Whoa!"There are horns poking out of the trunk of the tree.
After doing a little research online, I concluded that it may be a Honey locust tree.

There's a really nice spring behind my parent's home. I have always enjoyed going there. Visited it today as well. It flows through ONF..

This is a sore sight. Who knows how long this tree stood- only to be cut down...
Have you ever stood under a tree- and looked up?

Double Bridges Road
I recently decided to take a ride down this rarely traveled dirt road....It is located in what I like to call the 'Heart' of the Oconee National Forest (Greshamville Area). Years ago, and I mean YEARS ago, my father took me and my siblings fishing in the pond here. Since then the brush around it has grown and fishing is no longer allowed. I spotted 2 wild turkeys crossing the road..
